Imaginature: Glass as a Lifeform

Imagined nature - by me - from glass. Using the fascinating possibilities of flameworking and inspired by the nordic landscape, I now present different variations on the same theme: deep-diving into the unknown, the artificial and natural, thus creating the possibility of a new lifeform, born of the flames, frozen into glass vessels and compositions. Below, please see more of the journey and development of my work.

Forces & Fragmentations

Just a fancy title for my ongoing fascination with creating copper inlays in glass. The result is: a multitude of objects (more than 200 over 8 years), hours of experimentation in the glassblowing workshop, inspiring collaborations and so on... and of course there's always something I still want to do!

The Laboratory and Repository

At the intersection of art and science, there is a common ground: curiosity. Much to explore, develop and dissect. Using the original technique to create laboratory vessels, I aim to explore what else glass is capable of while thinking about what truly is this technique called flameworking and how it affects the thought process.

The Captured Series

A series based on the investigation of depth, density and distortion of cast glass, using different methods to capture air, space and light into the realms of glass. They each represent an individual thought process. Click on the pictures to know more about them!

Projects 2012-2021

Various functional and conceptual projects, sometimes experimental, using traditional techniques of glassmaking such as casting, glassblowing, stained glass and coldworking. To learn more about each project, please click on the pictures.
